The University of Sindh is the oldest Public Sector University of Pakistan and was established on April 3, 1 947. It ¡s located at a hilly area
on the right side of the River Indus at a distance of 1 5 Kms from Hyderabad and is spread over 8000 acres of land. The University of
Sindh ¡s offering degree programs in 54 disdplines as well as MS I M. Phil and Ph.D degrees programs in various academic Departments. Apart from Bachelor/Master degrees in various disciplines, the University also offers 5 year-LLB program and LLM. degree
program under the Institute of Law, Hyderabad.
The University has 23,000 regular students enrolled in various programs ¡n addition to 50,000 students from affiliated colleges another
30,000 students who appear privately for annual exam. i.e. it imparts education and conducts examinations for over I 00,000 students
every year on its various campuses including those at Mirpurkhas, Badin and Dadu.
Qualification and Experience
Sixteen ( 16 ) years education
(B.S/B.com /B.BA/ BAJM.A/MScIM.Com minimum ¡n 2 Class with 4 years administrative experience at University level or preferably 1 g Class.
( 01 post for Badin Campus and 01 for Mirpurkhas Campus)
BS/M.A ( Hons) in Mass Communication, BS in Information and Communication Technol
ogy or equivalent ¡n the relevant field, at least 2’ class preferably in 1 class.
University Administration is looking for a highly dynamic, competitive and
experienced person of public relations or journalism. Applicant should have at least
5 years of experience in media.
Applicant should be capable of handling social media, blogs and multimedia
journalism. Priority will be given to those who have demonstrated experience of
working with modern forms and channels of communication, i.e. social media, blogs,
Micro blogging along with print and electronic media.
The applicant would be responsible for contributing articles, press releases,
write-ups and reports in Urdu, Sindhi and English for wide publicity of the University
programmes. Selected candidate would be an official spokesman for the University.
The candidates would also be responsible for promotion of academic programmes
and policies of the University in print, electronic and social media.
Applicant must have a strong portfolio of articles, columns features, stories or
documentaries along with demonstrated skills of creative writing and a strong
presence on web.
Religious scholar with sufficient experience as Khatìb, Pesh Imam and I or Religious
teacher.
11t Class Masters Degree with three (03) years experience in collection I assessment,
sorting research material, printing and publication. The computer skills will be
considered as additional qualification.
B.E. Mechanical OR equivalent 2’ class ( preferably 1St class ) with four years
experience of transport work and knowledge of Auto Machines I Machinery. OR
B-Tech. 1g class with eight years experience of transport work and knowledge of
Auto Machines I Machinery.
