THE WORLD BANK Positions Vacant Background: At the request of The Government of Pakistan and its development partners the World Bank established a Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) to carry out post-crisis reconstruction and development iniatives aimed at restoring infrastructure, services and livelihood, as well as to support rehabilitation/recovery from damages caused by the floods in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and FATA. The World Bank Islamabad Office intends to fill the following positions, to be located at Economic Affairs Division, Block C, Pak Secretariat, Islamabad, initially on a one year co-terminous term contract, extendable for another year. Program Officer (Job# 120725): Selection Criteria: • Masters or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline (social sciences, economics, public policy, business administration); ‘ Five to eight years of experience in development sector, preferably in KP, FATA, and Balochistan. Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures will be an asset; . Strong English language skills, proven interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills. Research Analyst (Job # 120726): Selection Criteria: • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline (social sciences, economics, public policy, business administration); • At least two years of work experience in the development sector and knowledge of database and portfolio data management.
