The President of Pakistan has promulgated an Ordinance (No.1 of 2012) to establish Drug Regulatory
Agency of Pakistan. The Agency has been established to provide for effective coordination and
enforcement of Drugs Act, 1976 and to bring harmony in inter-provincial trade and commerce of drugs and
therapeutic goods. The Agency will regulate the manufacture, import, export, storage, distribution and sale
of therapeutic goods. This agency will be headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from the
pharmaceutical field.
Applications are invited for appointment of CEO from the pharmaceutical field having the following
qualification, experience, age and subject to applicable terms and conditions under the rules;
Academic qualification
Postgraduate degree in Pharmacy, Public Health or Medicine.
Experience
Minimum of 20 years experience in pharmacy services, public
health, management or regulatory affairs from either public or
private sector.

achievements:
Age:
The research, scholarship(s), experience and professional
achievements in the Pharmaceutical Field shall be preferred.
Between 40-55 years
General Terms and conditions
applicable to candidates:
• The term of appointment for CEO shall be for a period of three
years and shall be extendable for one similar term only.
• He has no financial or professional conflict of interest and has no
immediate family members (parent, child, sibling or spouse) as
senior officials or owner of pharmaceutical companies.
Emoluments and benefits:
As per rules or negotiated at the time of appointment.
Application addressed to the Cabinet Secretary on prescribed Form along with complete C.V. attested
photocopies of relevant documents, Computerized National Identity Card, Domicile, one recent
photograph, experience certificates and other antecedents must be attached with the application.
• The last date for submission of application is 30th March, 2012.
• Incomplete application or applications received after the due date will not be acceptable.
. Candidates presently working in Government Organization and Autonomous Bodies should sent
their applications through proper channel with permission of respective Head of the Department.
. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview and no TA/DA shall be admissible for the
purpose.
