Senior Education Specialist
Background:
The World Bank Human, Development (HD) Department in
the South Asia Region intends to hire a Sr. Education
Specialist for its HD Team in Islamabad Country Office on a 2-
year term contract. As part of the HD Team, the Sr. Education
Specialist will be responsible for leading or participating in
teams to develop, appraise, and supervise education sector
operations, leading and contributing to building clients
relations and dialogue with clients and other stakeholders at
senior levels, helping clients develop and implement
education sector strategies, monitoring and evaluating of
sectoral activities, as well as contributing to broader human
development and cross-sectoral activities.
Selection Criteria:
1. Minimum Master’s in Economics, Education, Social
Sciences, or related disciplines from a university of
international repute.
2. Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional
expenence in development field, preferably in education
andlor human development sectors.
3.Strong conceptual, analytical, inter-personal,
management, priontization, and English communication
skills, and proven ability to working effectively in a team
environment.
