GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN Federal Judicial Academy Islamabad SITUATION VACANT. The Federal Judicial Academy (FJA)is a body corporate fully funded by the Government of Pakistan. FJA seeks to enhance the quality of the Judicial System and catalyzed its development to meet current and emerging expectations and needs of the country and society. FJA is engaged in imparting judicial training and organizes certain courses on different subjects besides conferences/workshops and symposia each year on a variety of current legal and judicial topics for serving Judges, Prosecutors and Court Personnel from across the country. Each program seeks to develop and advance one or more ideas for reforming and strengthening the judicial system. While faculty positions at the FJA are also well-compensated and command great prestige in the legal community, the real attractiveness of this job lies elsewhere. Being on the faculty of the FJA allows one the singular privilege of having a formative influence on the ideas, ethos and work culture of judges of Pakistan’s District Judiciary, many of whom will also go on to join the Constitutional Courts. The FJA’s nexus with the judiciary also ensures that incumbents would have access to ample resources for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of law and policy in Pakistan; and a moderate teaching load ensures an environment conducive for focusing design and on research leading to publication. FJA is seeking suitable candidates from all over Pakistan, for faculty appointments. The candidate shall be well qualified, with demonstrated high level of expertise in research and teaching law, hardworking, ethical, committed to the cause of justice, seeking an exciting opportunity for catalyzing institutional development of the judicial system. Initial Appointment: Contract one(01) year (extendable) “A-Minimum Requirements: “The applicant must have: . _________ a bachelors degree in law, such as LLB or JD, preferably a higher degree, from a recognized institution, local or foreign; and 10 years of experience in the field of law. Experience as a reputed as centers of excellence; a diverse work experience and wide-ranging intellectual interests; a commitment to the field of teaching, established by previous teaching experience or otherwise; and a capacity for engaging in research and publication, established by previous publications or otherwise .“ a.
