J. E. Austin Associates Inc1 an international development management
consulting firm is a sub contractor to Deloitte Consulting LLP who is under
contract with USAID Pakistan to implement the trade project. J.E. Austin is
seeking experienced professionals for the position of Trade Economists.
The candidates will specifically undertake, but not limited to, the tasks below:
. Working on research in the area of India-Pakistan trade and assist in the collection
of primary and secondary input/output level data through targeted surveys
• Assess the quality of collected data and perform cleansing operations using
specialized software such as SPSS, STATA,
. Use various tools, techniques, and econometric models to analyze data,
arrive at condusive emprical evidence and present recommendations
. Contribute to overall research by identifying and detailing the barriers to
efficient financial transactions specific to trade with India and present best
practices for implementation between the two countries
• Contribute to the formulation of various research proposals
• Provide editorial and formatting support
. Undertake other tasks as required by the supervisor
Key Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Trade Economics, International Trade and Financing or any other
specialized field in Economics
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field
• Advanced level skills in SPSS, STATA, or Microsoft Excel
• Must be a Pakistani National
