SITUTION VACANT
1 . Applications are invited from the Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, on the
prescribed form (separate for US and BPS-17 & above posts) obtainable free of cost from the Registrar’s
Office during office hours or can be downloaded from University website (www.uvas.edu.pk) and on plain
paper (for posts of BPS 1-15) for the following posts for making appointments on regular I iTS I purely
temporary I contract basis at Main, Ravi & Jhang Campuses and at Para Veterinary School, Layyah with
the prescribed qualifications mentioned against each post.
2. Applications are required in quadruplicate for the post of Professor & Associate Professor, triplicate for the
posts of Assistant Professor and duplicate for posts at Sr. Nos. 5, 6 & 7 with attested copies of testimonials,
certificates, transcripts and experience certificates with specific dates alongwith one recent attested passport
size photograph and a crossed bank draft I pay order of Rs,500/- (non refundable) drawn in favour of
Treasurer, University of Veterinary 8 Animal Sciences, Lahore.
3. Persons already employed in Government or other organizations should submit their applications through
proper channel within due date. The requisite No Objection Certificate from present employer must reach in
the Office of the Registrar before or on the last date for the receipt of applications failing which such
applications will be treated as rejected and no call for interview will be issued.
4. All Government employees who intend to apply for any post through proper channel shall clarify through the
Heads of the attached departments that there is no pending inquiry I outstanding dues against them.
Moreover, there are no adverse remarks in any of their annual confidential reports. These conditions are
necessary for the grant of departmental permission certificate / No Objection Certificate (NOC).
5. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
6. The candidates holding professional degrees must be recognized I registered by the relevant Council i.e.
Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council I Pakistan Engineering Council
7. The University reserves the right:
a. not to fill any or all the advertised posts without assigning any reason.
b. to adjust /transfer / post the selected candidate at any campus I centre of the University.
c. to consider and appoint the candidates on any lower cadre post.
d. to short list the applications I candidates in accordance with the criteria to be determined by the Vice
Chancellor.
e. to increase or decrease the number of posts
8. Interview call letters will be issued to only eligible candidates and ineligible candidates will be informed
separately (BPS-17 8 above).
9. Age should not be less than 18 years and more than 35 years for the posts of BPS 16 8 below.
10. 2% quota in each category of posts is reserved for disabled persons.
11. Applications complete in all respect should reach in the Office of the Registrar, University of Veterinary &
Animal Sciences, Labore upto 14-01-2012 during office hours.

01 One (01) Professor on Regular Basis at Main Campus in BPS-21 i.e. 40000-2600-76,400 in the
discipline of Pharmacognosy
Qualification: Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
Experience: 15 years teaching I research experience In HEC recognized University or a postgraduate
institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
Publication: 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in last 5 years) in HEC recognized
- journals
