SEEKS A VICE-CHANCELLOR
We are delighted to invite applications for Vice
Chancellor of Namal College, a dynamic individual
who has the vision to revolutionise higher education
by leading the first private University and Knowledge
City in rural Pakistan.
The candidate must have excellent leadership skills
and experience in higher education. He/she should
be able to demonstrate personal commitment to
creating an excellent academic experience for the
faculty and students. He/she will be required to reside
on campus in Namal (District: Mianwali) and is
expected to have a strong commitment towards rural
development.
Qualification: PhD and administrative experience
will be preferred
Age: 50 years (approx.)
Salary: Negotiable based on experience

About Na mal College & Knowledge City
The vision behind Namal College and Knowledge City
is to trigger innovation for the benefit of society, by
establishing high quality education facilities of
international standard with the help of local and
international partners. The sponsoring body, Namal
Education Foundation (NEF) currently owns 1000
acres of land, and is aggressively expanding the land
holding up to 3000 acres for setting up the largest
Knowledge City in Pakistan. Namal College is built on
land generously donated by the people of Mianwali
District, set on a gentle slope of a hill in beautiful
countryside on the edge of Namal Lake, a short
distance outside the city of Mianwali on the main
Highway.
Phase I of the project comprising an impressive
building was completed in 2008. The two storey
building houses Computer Science, Software
Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments
and college administration. There are now 250
students studying for University of Bradford degrees
at Namal College. Phase Il of construction will begin
shortly and will include faculty and student
accommodation and academic blocks with research
laboratories.
Namal College Is an Associate College of the
University of Bradford, one of the leading Universities
in United Kingdom. Bradford University specialises in
the Technical and Engineering disciplines, and has a
history of developing and delivering high quality and
demand driven degree programmes. It is working
closely with Namal College in designing the courses
and curriculum, in ensuring Quality Assurance,
Training and Development for the Faculty and
advisory on matters related to academic
administration.
