ENERGY DEPARTMENT
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Government of the Punjab has created a new Directorate of Power Projects under the administrative
control of Energy Department. The Directorate is responsible for designing and execution of small power
projects in the Province which include Biogas Power Plants, community based hydal power projects,
Installation of solar geysers In Government buildings, provision of solar system in Government offices, off-
grid schools and health facilities etc. In order to make the Directorate of Power Projects fully functional,
Energy Department invites applications from suitable and enthusiastic candidates domiciled in Punjab to
fill up the following temporary posts on contact basis. The candidates should have the vision to make the
Directorate at par with other sectors in Pakistan.
1. DIrector Prolects (BS-19) (1 Post) (Age Mm: 35). Pay of BS-19 plus usual allowances.
• Graduate Engineer in Electrical discipline from a recognized university (Registered with PEC).
• Preference will be given to candidates possessing higher qualification with specialization in renewable
energy like Hydel, solar, wind or biomass.
• Should have overall experience of at least 15 years in power sector and 3 years experience in Project
Management.
2. Deputy Director (BS-18) (1 Post) (Age Mm: 28). Pay of BS-18 plus usual allowances.
• Graduate Engineers in Electrical discipline from a recognized University (Registered with PEC).
• Preference will be given to candidates possessing higher qualification with specialization In renewable
energy like Hydel, solar, wind or biomass.
• Should have overall experience of at least 10 years in relevant field, 03 years experience in renewable
projects or In Research & Development (R&D) of renewable technologies.
• Should be familiar with international standards relating to electrical I mechanical equipment.
3. OffIce Superintendent (BS-16) (1 Post) (Age Mm: 18) Pay of BS-18 plus usual allowances.
• Possesses Bachelor Degree from any recognized University.
• Must have 10 years experience as Office Superintendent.
• Should possess experience of Financial Management.
• Possesses good knowledge and experience of dealing in office administration matters.
• Should possesses computer skill in MS Office Package.
Note:

• Applications for posts in BS-17 to BS-19 should be addressed to the Secretary. Energy Department
and applications for posts in BS-1 to BS-16 should be addressed to the Director Power Projects.
• The complete CV. attested copies of relevant documents must be attached with the application
form. Incomplete applications will not be entertained/ considered.
• Only short listed candidates will be called for the interview.
• Candidates working in Government I Semi-Government and autonomous bodies will be considered
for appointment through transfer or deputation. They should apply through proper channel.
• These appointments will be made purely on contract basis for a period of one year (extendable on
satisfactory performance).
