Punjab Power Development Board, Energy Department, Government of
the Punjab, invites applications from suitable and enthusiastic candid
ates domiciled in Punjab for the following posts. PPDB is an equal opp
ortunity organization having wide scope of work in Power Sector with
challenging goals. The candidates should have the vision to make the
Board viable and at par with other Boards in the sector.
1. Manager Projects (Director Hydropower) (BS-19) (1 Post)
(Age Mm. 35 Max. 50 years) Pay Rs. 1,10,112!- (in case of cont
ract employee) or in case of appointment by transfer, pay
and allowances of selectee in parent Department plus deput
ation allowance as admissible under Punjab Government
Rules.
Should be Graduate in Civil or Mechanical Discipline from a reco
gnized university. Should have experience of more than 15 years
in practice of Civil Engineering of which at least 03 years has
been spent in design, planning, construction, supervision, monit
oring and operation of Hydropower Projects. Should be well
aware of Hydropower Software and their applications. Should be
well conversant with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/
lEE) and resettlement issues relating to Power Projects.
2. Deputy Project Manager (Hydropower) (BS-18) (1 Post) (Age
Mm. 28 Max. 45 years) Pay Rs. 70,4541- (in case of contract
employee) or in case of appointment by transfer, pay and all
owances of selectee in parent Department plus deputation
allowance as admissible under Punjab Government Rules.
Graduate Engineer in Civil! Mechanical Discipline or Hydropower
Engineer from a recognized University (Registered with PEC).
Should have an overall experience of at least 05 years in the
Practice of Civil Engineering of which 02 years have been spent
in Planning, Construction and maintenance of Hydraulic Struct
ures on Canal! Rivers or Hydropower Projects. Well conversant
with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and resettlement
issues relating to Thermal Power Projects.
3. Deputy Project Manager (Mechanical) (BS-18) (1 Post) (Age
Mm: 35, Max: 45 years) Pay Rs. 70,454!- lump sum (in case of
contract employee) or in case of appointment by transfer,
pay and allowances of selectee in parent Department plus
deputation allowance as admissible under Punjab Governm
ent Rules.
Graduate Engineer in Mechanical or Electrical discipline from a
recognized university (registered with PEC). Should have an overa
ll experience of at least 10 years of which 03 years experience
have been spent in planning, implementation and operation of
thermal turbines of various technologies and associated mec
hanical equipments. Should be computer literate having experie
nce of computing techniques. Should be conversant with
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and resettlement issues
relating to Thermal Power Projects.
4. Assistant Manager (Tariff) (1 Post) (BS-17) (Age Mm. 25 Max.
40 years) Pay Rs. 58,0331- (in case of contract employee) or
in case of appointment by transfer, pay and allowances of
selectee in parent Department plus deputation allowance as
admissible under Punjab Government Rules.
MBA Finance, ICMA (Inter). CA (Inter), possess overall experie
nce of 05 years with at least 03 years in economic and financial
analysis of Power Projects and Tariff.
5. Sub Engineer (Civil) (1 Post) (BS-II) (Age Mm. 35 Max. 40
years) Pay Rs. 25,000!- (In case of contract employee) or in
case of appointment by transfer, pay and allowances of sel
ectee in parent Department plus deputation allowance as adm
issible under Punjab Government Rules.
Should possess three years Diploma of Associate Engineer in the
Discipline of Civil Technology. Should possess 7 years experience
of which 3 years have been spent in the maintenance and opera
tion of Hydraulic Structure.
6. CAD Operator (1 Post) (BS-il) (Age Mm. 25 Max. 40 years)
