Vacancy Announcement An international humanitarian organization seeks the following qualified and experienced individual. The following are minimum qualification for the position along with illustrative responsibilities and required experience. Position: Health & Nutrition Specialist Locations: Peshawar Contract: Fixed term contract for 03 months This is a short term position based in Peshawar office for 03 months to ensure smooth start-up of MCHIP FATAJKP health program implementation in target areas. S/he will support the Chief of Party for program related coordination with public sector stakeholders, SC HO and the donor. The position will be technical lead for developing the scope of work/terms of reference for the various assessments to be carried out under the program as well as review and adaptation of the training curricula to be used ¡n the program. Required Qualification & Experience: • An advanced university degree from an accredited university in public health ora similar health or medical field is required; . At least 5-7 years specialist work in the area of maternal, new-born, child health and/or family planning in an international development setting on similar international donor funded programs, is required. Experience ¡na similar role on a USAI D-funded program is desirable, • Proven knowledge of health systems strengthening; • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with donors, government officials, and public, private and civil society sector partners;; . Fluent oral and strong analytical, written English communications skills is required; . Fluent oral and strong analytical written Pashto or Urdu required; • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills required, particularly ¡n translating health data and health programming achievements to non- health experts; • Demonstrated experience using social marketing and media campaigns to improve women’s health and change family planning behavior . Strong computer skills, including ease and skill in using word, excel spread sheets, email, the internet, and windows applications • Proven track record training staff is highly desirable; and familiarity with issues related to demographic and health matters in Pakistan.
