Consulate General in Karachi is seeking competent individuals to staff the two positions of Electrical Power Equipment Operator at full performance and trainee level by offering an attractive salary package and other benefits. Completion often years of education and a three year apprenticeship in the electrical trade is required. Must have five years of experience in utility operations, with a strong emphasis on preventive and corrective maintenance. Must be familiar with the inner workings of plant and equipment maintenance. Must know the basic safety precautions required for all job tasks performed. Must have the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Must have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes. The ability to read blueprints, sketches, O&M manuals and diagrams is required. Must be able to work independently in emergency situations. Incumbent must have technical knowledge of power equipment operations. The incumbent will utilize special switching and diagnostic programs. Basic familiarity in these programs is required. Must be flexible to work after hours or on weekends.
