One of the leading engineering and construction concern is seeking suitable candidate for the
position of Manager Contracts to be part ofthe core management team based at Islamabad.
An ¡deal candidature would be a graduate engineer preferably holding law qualification having
minimum 15 years experience of contracts and claims management with particular focus on construction
law and fulfilling the following criterion;
. 5 to 7 years international experience as a contracts manager on turnkey construction contracts
within a corporate environment is preferable
. Project management and engineering background would be an advantage
. In depth knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, FIDIC & PEC ¡s essential for this position
K Knowledge ofspecific common and civil law pertainingto contractual matters
. Should be able to identify, describe, quantify, evaluate opportunities and risks and to lead ¡n
decision making by proposing optimal solutions and/or workable alternatives
. Implement and maintain a Contract Management Framework, risk and potential claims matrix.
I Being able to put in place protocols for the generation, management and filing of claims by setting
out clear timelines, guidelines for the preservation of supporting evidence as well as standard
. templates forthe claims.
Put ¡n place a framework for the anticipation and management of claims by subcontractors
. Work with the project team to identify potential risks and develop potential mitigation strategies.
. Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information for business
improvement.
. Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to effectively interact and influence at all
