POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences
(PlEAS) is a federally chartered degree awarding
educational institution offering under-graduate and post
graduate programs in various disciplines of Science &
Engineering and has been ranked as No. 1 Engineering
Institute of Pakistan by HEC. li aims to impart quality
education compatible with contemporary requirements
and emerging challenges in the field of science and
technology.
This premier academic institute requires a
qualified, dynamic and competent professional
proven record of academic administration and
leadership for appointment as Rector on contract basis
for an initial term of three years, extendable subject to
performance.
Major Responsibilities
The Rector, as the academic and administrative head of
PIEAS. will provide dynamic leadership in planning,
managing and realization of excellence in education,
research and development activities.
Quai iflcation and Experie---1
. Preferably PhD in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
. More than 20 years of experience in Academic and
Research activities with at least 5 years in Higher
Education Management role(s).
. Well versed with the functions and management of
an institution of higher learning with an
understanding of strategic planning, broad range of
research and human resource development.
