PAKISTAN MARINE ACADEMY
Who Can Apply?
• Unmarried male citizens of Pakistan.
. Age: not more than 20 years as on
31St December, 2012. (Not eligible to
apply if date of birth is prior 31-12-1992).
However, for FATA/FANA & Azad Kash mir
candidates maximum age limit is 21 years.
Higher Secondary School Certificate (Pre
Engineering) or HSC with Math, Physics
& Computer OR equivalent with at least
Second Division or equivalent. (those
waiting for result may also apply, however
the marks sheet of HSC must be submitted
by 30th September, 2012)
Selection Procedure:
. Last date for submission of completed
Application Forms is 3Q. jg..ust, 2012.
. Entrance Test by the National Testing
Service (NTS) will be held on 30th Sep.,
2012 at designated stations.
. Medical examination of short listed
candidates will be held in October, 2012
at designated Combined Military Hospitals.
. Final selection will be based on NTS Result
and Total Marks in Intermediate / equivalent
examination.
• 20 seats (10 in each discipline) are
reserved to be filled under Self Finance
Scheme (For details see Prospectus / PMA
Web site).
Training:
• 2 Years residential training at Pakistan
Marine Academy Karachi (details as per
prospectus).
Degree & Certificates awarded after
completion of training:
. Associate degree in Ship Management I
Marine Engineering by NED University of
Engineering & Technology Karachi.
. Seaman Service Book (SSB) by
Government of Pakistan.
. Certificates of Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses
by PMA.
