The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (POMA),
Government of Punjab solicits applications for the following position
within its Gender and Child Cell:
Position: Child Protection Coordinator
Location: Lahore
Job Description
* Coordinate the implementation of Child Protection Program of
PDMA.
* Undertake coordination and information management during
disasters by maintaining liaison with all child protection related
stakeholders (including Child Protection Sub-Cluster! Working
Group and Protection Clusterl Working Group and line
departments of the Government of Punjab) and keeping all
relevant stakeholders informed of latest child protection related
response mechanisms and developments at the policy level.
Refresh and establish standards of services delivered to children
and other programs as necessary and work with partners to
promote DO NO HARM principle and facilitate its integration into
all aspects of child protection response.
* Ensure regular reporting against sectoral indicators of service
delivery (quantity, quality, coverage, continuity and cost), support
analysis in closing gaps and measuring impact of interventions
as well as find solutions to fill those gaps in collaboration with
stakeholders.
* Advise DG-POMA on all issues relating to Child Protection during
disasters.
Requirements
* Masters Degree from a reputable National or International
University
* At least five years of relevant work experience
* Strong reporting and interpersonal skills,
* Previous coordination experience, familiarity with the
humanitarian context and principles, and understanding! proven
experience in child protection issues highly appreciated
