Working on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of early primary and primary students enrolled in public schools, the project will include teacher development, community mobilization, learning assessment and learning material development as its core components. The project will be implemented in the districts of Sukkur, Larkana, Kambar-Shahdadkot, Dadu, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Khairpur and Karachi. Deputy Chief of Party - 1 position, Karachi Based The DCoP will assist the CoP SRP, in providing technical and programmatic leadership in the design, implementation, monitoring and quality assurance of program activities. S/he will ensure the roll out of program activities across districts through the district-based team while ensuring the quality standards and compliance requirements for SRP. The DCoP will also ensure field-based monitoring and regular review meetings with the line department and senior project team members and also undertake routine coordination with the donor, government line departments and community stakeholders. Eligibility Criteria . Master’s degree or equivalent in Management and Administration from an accredited university . At least 5-8 years of experience in managing and implementing programs in Sindh, especially funded through USAID . Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills to ensure internal coherence among team members and relations with all stakeholders . Fluency in spoken and written English (for academic purposes) & working knowledge of Sindhi Director Teacher Training and Development - 1 position, Karachi Based The Director lTD will be responsible for designing and implementing classroom interventions under SRP. S/he will work with province and district teams to develop teachers’ skills on student-centered, numeracy and literacy improvement. Sfhe will ensure that training inputs under SRP inform the pre and in-service teacher development initiatives of the Government of Sindh. The DTT will report to the CoP. Eligibility Criteria . Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field from an accredited university . At least 8 years of experience in managing and implementing education programs in Pakistan, specifically Sindh . Exemplary interpersonal skills and leadership to ensure internal coherence among team members and relations with all stakeholders . Cutting edge knowledge of learning theories and their application, child-centered pedagogical approaches and andragogy . Fluency in spoken and written English (for academic purposes) & working knowledge of Sindhi is essential Director Monitoring and Evaluation - 1 position, Karachi Based The Director, M&E will be responsible for developing and tracking the performance management plan for the SRP. The D, M&E will regularly generate analysis on project performance and quality, and recommend course corrections for meeting the qualitative and quantitative program targets. The position requires extensive travel to districts. The applicant must possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and writing skills. Eligibility Criteria: . Minimum 10 years’ experience of developing and executing research, monitoring and evaluation strategies in the development sector, preferably in the area of education . Competence in qualitative and quantitative study design and implementation, with children as the major focus . Experience using data analysis packages such as SPSS and database management systems . Experience in developing and coordinating data collection, processing and analysis systems . Familiarity with US Donor Monitoring and Evaluation protocols .
