NoObjection certificate from parent department (or candidates ¡n Post graduate degree in public health (preferably ¡n epidemiology of government service child health) 2. Candidates will have to reside at the place of duty station incase At least 5 years experience in Public Heah related acijvities helshe is selected Preferable experience in UN Agencies, NGOs or Government 3. Excellent written communication skills ¡n English, Urdu and Health Departments in ¡mmunizaonrelated areas preferably in local languages 4. Knowledge ofcomputers induding Microsoft Office’s applications Description of duties: Under the direct supervision of the Emergency Coordinator (Polio), and overall supervision of the WHO Representative; the ¡ncumbent will be responsible to perform the following duties: I . To supportimplementaon and monitong ofthe Naonal EmergencyAcon Plan for Polio EradicaUon and immunization activities through: - preparations, implementation and monitonng ofsupplementaryimmunizaon acvities including micre.planning, training and monitoring; œ Umely analysis ofdata and its use for correcve action; contribute in strengthening of the development of health system infrastructure particularly through training and assist in building national capacity 2. To support surveillance acvies (forAFP and VPI diseases)to ensure achievement!maintenance ofcertificaon standards by: - participahng in the planning and ¡n the implementaon of active surveillance and routine reporting; supporting the training activities and supervision ofsurveillancelsupportstaff- participating in the organization of advocacy!orientatìon I meetings for health care providers = ensuring proper case investigations, follow-up classification - regular analysis ofsurveiflance data and monitor indicators To support the development and strengthening of routine immunization through: - participabng in the development of micro-plans for I implementation of Reaching Every Districts (RED) approach and ensure their proper implementaon and monitoring: - coordinating with partners on activities related to routine immunization and ensure community participation; and - mely analysis and interpretaon ofroutine immunization data and its use for corrective acon. To liaise with different EPI I PEI partners and enlist connued commitment of national local authorfties to stated goals. To oversee activities of national support staff recruited by WHO working ¡n the polio eradication achvities.
