VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
GovernmeÆ of Punjab ha signed a credit agreenent of USS 350 million for the Punjab Education Sector
Proìect ith World Bank, The credit includes a Technical Assistance (TA) component of USS 10 million
for the instinicnal capacity building of Punjas SChOOl Education Sector. The School Education
Departmeht (SED) along with the Programme Monitoring and Impleinentaboil Unit (PMIU•PESRP) has
agreed with the World Bank on a 3.year procurement plan Hiring of Procurenient Spcciahst is a part of
the procurement plan to he financed from the TA component
A Procurement Management Specialist is required to manage and coo rdintc all the proc.reinents
and monitor implementation of existing agreements.
Qualifications aid Experience:
. Master’s degree in management science’staiistasleconcniics or related fld from a reputable local or
foreign initution. A diploma”degree in the field of procUrement management from reputable loca] or
treign iniLuon shall be preterred.
. Should have minimum five (05) years of experience in the procurement processes in development
sector, denionstiating edcnce ofachieving results and graduation to responsible posuioI.
. Should have significant procurement expenence on public’privatc projects of value not less than
US$50 million inolving procurement of services andor works & goods including information and
communication echnolcgy.
. ExcelIìt knowledge of relevant rules and regulations of GOP6, World Bank, PPRA and other donor
agencies including international procurement best practices. Specially. sound knowledge of World
Bank procurement guidelines, procedures and repoiling requirements.
‘ Should have an m.depth undersanding of procurement cycle management.
• Proven ability to sork in a collaborative, lean environment.
‘ Should have excellent command on MS office.
• FamiliarIty sith government ructures, operations, and procedures.
Remuneration:
Successful candidate will be offered competitive market based salary package depending opon
qualification, experience and suitability of the candidate.
