HEC-DISTINGUISHED NATIONAL PROFESSORS FOR ARTS,
HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES DISCIPLINES
To acknowledge services of outstanding academicians and researchers, the Higher Education Commission
has launched the “HEC Distinguished National Professor programme. The programme envisages the
enhancement of academic and research activities by utilizing the services of selected professors through
establishment of their affiliation with a public or private sector university/degree awarding institute for the
supervision of students.
Monthly Salary Package
HEC Distinguished National Professor will be entitled to a fixed emolument of Rs. 50.00W- as honorarium
and Rs. 25,00W- for research grant/institutional share, The appointment shall be made for a period of two
years on contract depending on satisfactory performance.
Who Should Apply?
The applicant must have:
. PhD/Relevant Terminal Degree, preferable with considerable number of PhDs /Graduates with
relevant Terminal Qualification produced.
. vast research and teaching experience.
. Membership of professional societies.
. International publications/exhibitions.
. Won international and national awards/honours.
. Won local and international research funding.
*Relevant terminal degree is the degree required for appointment as Professor in that discipline
as per HEC Faculty Appointment Cntena.
