University of Sindh, Jamshoro invites applications from the qualified
scholars for appointment of Directors (BPS-21) in its following Centers:
1 . National Centre of Excellence ¡n Analytical Chemistry
2. Area Study Center Far East and South East Asia
3. Pakistan Study Center
A. Minimum Qualification, Experience and Publications
prescribed for the Posts are:
o. Ph.D. ¡n relevant field from a HEC recognized University.
ii). 1 5 years of teaching and research experience in a recognized
University, National or International Organization with at least
8 years post Ph.D. level experience In institutions as
mentioned above.
iii). 1 5 Publications in the relevant field with at least 5 publications
in last S years in HEC recognized journals.
iv). The Maximum Age Limit must not exceed 55 years Relax able
maximumby2yearson the recommendation of the Section Board)
B. The applicant for the post of Director National Center of
Excellence in Analytical Chemistry is expected to have a
sound academic background preferably in Analytical
Chemistry and be well versed with latest trends In managing a scientific research organization.
C. Terms and Conditions of the Appointment:
I). The appointment will be made EITHER on Contract basis
initially for a period of 4 years or a working Professor
(BS-20/21) of any outside institution who applies and found
suitable for the post, may be appointed on Deputation basis
as admissible under Rules.
li). The candidates who fulfill the criteria laid down for the post of
Professor by HEC would be considered and the candidate
selected from among them will be appointed as Director 85-21.
¡il). The incumbent will be eligible for re-appointment subject to
his/her satisfactory performance In his/her first tenure.
iv). The incumbent will be allowed pay, usual allowance and
perquisites admissible under Rules to an Officer of BS-20or as
the case may be, BS-21.
The Candidates are advised to furnish their C.V. on the
prescribed application form available from the Office of Deputy
Registrar (Teaching) on payment of Rs.1000/- (non-refundable)
through Bank Challan deposited at Habib Bank Limited
Jamshoro Or Habib Bank Umited Elsa Kazi Campus Hyderabad.
